Review: Nailene Coture Glue-On Nails

Every now and then, I like to have nice looking nails. Mine are chronically short.
So, I went down to the handy-dandy CVS and picked up some of these babies.

ZEBRA!!!!! These are just so cute!!!

So here's what they look like on my nails...

No Flash and blurry, but this is a more accurate representation of their color.

My skin is pretty blinding with flash... Sorry.

So how are these?
They were kind of hard to fit to my nail bed. I didn't realize they were so curved. I have flat nail beds, so there was more bubbling than I would have liked.

What was the wear time?
The package recommends only wearing these for 7 days, tops. I wore them for that long, but I think I could have worn them longer. I had a hard time getting these to detach from my real nails, even though I soaked them in the Kiss All-or-One Artificial nail remover, which is supposed to get them off quicker than soaking in regular acetone.
Overall, I liked these. They were so cute, and even matched one of my outfits (A grey and black zebra-striped shirt)
Have you used these? What did you think of them?

Old. UGHH!

Just going through some of my old mani pictures... This one wasn't my favorite mainly because it lasted a grand total of 6.5 hours. I guess that's what I get for painting my nails during class... I just can't handle it when my nail polish chips/shows tip wear that quickly!
So, here goes.
This is Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Jumpin' Jade with China Glaze Wireless Holographic Top Coat.

While I'm at it, I might as well review this nail polish.
It was so hard for me to apply because of two things.
1. The brush. It's awful. I just can't seem to get a clean, even mani with that flat brush.
2. The formula. I found it to be a bit too thin for my liking. It dripped all around my cuticles and that's always a pain to deal with.
This wasn't too bad though. The green was completely opaque in two coats, which is always a plus.

On a more positive note, I did have decent lighting while waiting to get out of my school's parking lot, so I used the time as a photo op. :) Hello, Honda steering wheel/dashboard!

There's much better stuff coming soon, I promise. Thanks for reading!

Revamping

Get ready, because there's going to be a lot going on here!
I'm going to be swatching/reviewing all of my makeup, nail polish, everything.
2011 is going to be a good year for this blog!

Polka Dots

Here's a little retina-burning nail design for you:

Pardon my cuticles. And the dog in the upper left corner.

This last one is outside in the natural intense sunlight. I think the camera focused more on the bottle
than the nails, and that makes the nails look a little faded and dull... but I swear, they weren't dull at all! =)

China Glaze Nova

Ok, so here is one of my all-time favorite glitter polishes:

NOVA!!!!!

I just adore all the holographic glittery goodness of it!
Here's a few more pics...

This is outside, obviously. The picture is a little foggy, due to the lovely 93%
humidity.

And finally, over China Glaze Liquid Leather. And the tips are Tuned-Up Turquoise.
A little crazy-funky-neon, but it really shows all the glittery goodness of Nova.

Well, that's all I have for today, but hopefully I'll be able to put more up soon!

Old Swatches...

Just thought I'd post a few of my older designs on here, so here goes...
Also, sorry about the blurry pics here, these were taken on my phone.

I think this zebra print is super cute, plus I did it freehand! That's right, no stencils/decals/konad/stamps.

Aww, Leopard.
